Annulatus Labidiaster are opportunistic predators and scavengers. Moving about on the seafloor using various combinations of light. Here hold on to some of its shine while the other extends like a fishing rod. annulatus Labidiaster found around the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Range
from the intertidal zone to a depth of 554 meters (1,818 feet) but the
sea star is most common between 30 and 400 meters (98 and 1,312 ft). He lived on the sea floor and found in sand, mud and gravel and among the rocks.annulatus Labidiaster has a central disk and a width of 40 to 45 narrow beam length and can reach a diameter of 60 cm (24 in). There is also a short spines and many papulae and a number of small pedicellariae. At intervals down each ray is no transverse bands armed with large pedicellariae. Oral or lower surface of the disc has a central mouth surrounded by scales further. There are rows of tube feet on either side of the groove, each leg has a suction pad-like end
Little is known about the reproductive Labidiaster annulatus, but the larvae pass through at least one and one-stage bipinnaria brachiolaria as has been shown by DNA analysis. Larvae are planktonic and spent several months of drifting with the currents before settling on the seabed and undergo metamorphosis into a juvenile.
